This year Manchester School of Architecture celebrates 30 years as a distinctive collaboration between the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. We are delighted that our school has again maintained 5th position in the QS World University Rankings for architecture and that that we have achieved 6th in the UK ranking in The Guardian league tables for architecture.

Our BA(Hons) Architecture course aligns with RIBA Themes and Values blending Design Studio, Technologies and Humanities with new modules this year including Sustainable Global Futures and Collaborative Practice. We are committed to giving our students strong architectural foundations whilst creating space for them to follow their own interests through our final year humanities electives and studio ateliers which align with staff research interests.

We are proud of our students and wish them well as they venture out into the professional world. The challenges of our times are complex, and we encourage our students to be bold, curious and creative, to advocate for social justice, sustainability, and the verdant biodiversity that remind us of our connection to the world. These challenges will arise wherever our students find themselves living and working. We are proud of their achievements and the promise that their education has bestowed upon them. We look forward to the future we will inherit because of who they have become.

MSA is a sum of parts. Students, together with staff, visiting professors, guests and collaborators come together to shape the atmosphere, direction and values of the school. We thank everyone for your contribution in shaping the MSA.

We wish our students luck and hope you enjoy the show.
