Deviants' Heterotopia Island.
The research question of this project is to create an architectural heterotopia, where spaces carry heterotopia attributes and urban residual spatial attributes, in order to help deviants who have long been trapped by the normality marked by disciplinary power and society to escape from self-exclusion and self-discipline.
By creating a heterotopian space that honors the inner world and encourages authentic self-expression, individuals are empowered to break free from societal norms, cultural conditioning, and self-imposed limitations. Overall, the Heterotopia Island is envisioned as a haven for seekers of truth and seekers of self, a place where the disciplined mind can find refuge, liberation, and transformation amidst the chaos of the external world.
