Visiting Us

Visiting Manchester School of Architecture

As an innovative collaboration between Manchester Metropolitan University and The University of Manchester, we are based across two campuses in close proximity to each other on the bustling Oxford Road corridor, which links the city centre to Manchester’s educational and cultural district.

Our main studio and teaching spaces are in the Manchester Technology Centre (MTC) on Oxford Road. Some staff offices and the B15 Modelmaking workshop are located in the Humanities Bridgeford Street Building at The University of Manchester with additional workshops and resources in the Manchester School of Art buildings on the Manchester Metropolitan University campus. Lectures take place in venues across both campuses.

Prospective Undergraduate Students

We offer opportunities to find out more about Manchester School of Architecture and our undergraduate courses at our Open Days, which are held throughout the year and run by The University of Manchester.

At an Open Day you will have the opportunity to:

Meet staff from Manchester School of Architecture and find out more about your course.
See our facilities, workshops and studios at The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Meet current students and find out about their experiences of studying with us.
Take a campus tour and see a sample of student accommodation available.

Undergraduate Offer Holders

If you are successful in securing an offer at Manchester School of Architecture, you will be invited to a Visit Day, which will enable you to gain a deeper understanding of your course and studying with us. It will also give you the opportunity to meet with staff that teach on our undergraduate courses.

You will be personally invited to a Visit Day after receiving your offer, and you will be provided with a way to sign up.

Prospective Postgraduate Students

We offer opportunities to find out more about Manchester School of Architecture and our postgraduate courses at Postgraduate Courses Fairs, held in early afternoons and evenings by Manchester Metropolitan University.

At a Postgraduate Courses Fair you will have the opportunity to:

Speak with an academic member of staff from courses you are interested in, and find out more about your course.
Visit the facilities and workshops at Manchester Metropolitan University, and see postgraduate studio spaces.
Get advice about financing your studies, accommodation, student support and student life at Manchester School of Architecture.
