Sofia Quiroga Fernandez is an architect, researcher, and educator. She taught in Madrid at CEU San Pablo University of Architecture and in Suzhou, China, in the Department of Architecture at Xi’an Jiatong Liverpool University. She has also been a guest lecturer at other universities, including UAM (Madrid Autonoma University) and ETSAM (Madrid Polytechnic University). Sofia holds a PhD from the Madrid Polytechnic University. Her research focused on “Industrial Light and Technified Image: From Moholy-Nagy to CAVS (Center for Advanced Visual Studies)”, where she explores the intersection of visual, technological, and cultural innovations in architectural discourses. Since 2001, Sofia has worked as a freelance architect, being recognised with several awards and has collaborated with international architects such as Juan Navarro Baldeweg.
