Les Postawa, founding Principal of Les Postawa Associates, has 45 years of experience in the design and delivery of projects of all sizes and complexity, across all market sectors throughout the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Les’ creative, innovative, and practical approach to engineering design has been a key factor in the delivery of many high-profile, iconic, and award-winning building structures that have won international acclaim.
Les’ impressive portfolio includes three RIBA Stirling Prize winning projects; The Centenary Building, University of Salford with Hodder and Partners, Barajas Madrid Airport with Richard Rogers Partnership/Estudio Lamela, and MAXXI: Museum of 21st Century Arts, Rome with Zaha Hadid Architects.
Other recently completed high-profile projects in which Les has been actively involved include the Redevelopment of All England Lawn Tennis Club Wimbledon No.1 Court and ARTER: Contemporary Art Gallery, Istanbul.
Les is in his element working at the initial stage of projects helping to create a symbolic relationship between architect and engineer, engineering and architecture and has enjoyed close collaboration with many of the World’s leading architects. He believes strongly in sharing his passion, knowledge, and experience with project teams as well as inspiring students through his role as Visiting Professor of Structural Design.
