Birdscape - Enhancing Biodiversity through Design

The aim of this project is to study biodiversity and birds and design for them.

Biodiversity is vital to the health and stability of ecosystems, and birds, as organisms sensitive to environmental indicators, can provide us with valuable ecological information. By studying birds, it is possible to understand their survival and behavioural habits under different environmental conditions. More birds will then be attracted to breed and live in the area by improving the natural environment of the site, including the provision of abundant food resources, suitable habitats and safe breeding conditions. The arrival of birds will bring about more ecological balance and promote the prosperity and diversity of plant populations.

The design hopes to attract more birds by making the site an ecological environment that birds are adapted to, and to gradually enrich the ecology of the site and the biodiversity of the site due to the arrival of birds. Through wetlands, plants, and food, reducing human disturbance in certain areas, expanding larger habitats based on the existing ones nearby, and incorporating human-bird interaction, the design enhances the functionality and interest of the site, while allowing people to learn about birds and protect them.
