Phobic World

"Phobic World" explores how to spatialize phobias using simulations and film references, aiming to recreate the atmosphere and feelings associated with various phobias. By employing VR devices, the project eliminates the constraints of space, time, and identity, conducting tests and learning new software to reproduce these scenarios. The project expands by recreating spaces from four classic movies (Blade Runner, Playtime, The Shining, The Matrix) that evoke four kinds of phobias (Nyctophobia, Agoraphobia, Claustrophobia, Scoptophobia). Using Blender, these spaces are meticulously crafted from multiple perspectives and edited into a cohesive short film. This endeavor seeks to highlight the relationship between space, emotion, and cinema, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the visceral experience of confronting phobias within cinematic spaces.
