Connection

The lack of balanced public transportation development has exacerbated Cumbria's economic inequality. Households without cars may face difficulties accessing new job opportunities and educational prospects beyond their local communities. To tackle this issue, it is crucial to revamp the public transportation system, enhancing connectivity from West Cumbria to the East and expanding it on a national level.

The aim of this project is to solve the disparities in Cumbria by connecting the East and West of Cumbria and extending this connection to other major cities in the United Kingdom. This will also facilitate connections between people, tourists, and local businesses. It will contribute to improving the economic development in West Cumbria and allow it to benefit from the tourism economy of the East.

The hub will be more than just a transportation center for changing buses or renting electric cars. It will also be a place where people can connect with one another and enjoy their stay. There will be an attractive market space with a food hall run by local businesses, a unique dining area with an extended countryside view from the curtain wall, a comfortable waiting area, a beautiful roof terrace for various activities, and a community space for indoor activities.
