The Flowing Moss
Using both speculative and biophilic design, we have explored the growing global climate crisis and, by learning about the biological characteristics and morphology of mosses, attempted to provide a more ecological architectural solution to the growing typology of data centre spaces. Considering the needs of human and non-human species, multiple systemic loops outside and inside the building are formed to reduce/reuse/recycle/restore in response to the extreme climate issues. In our holistic project approach, we meticulously consider the biodiversity implications alongside our strategies for reducing carbon emissions. This involves not only reuse renewable energy but also minimizing the utilization of high GWP (Global Warming Potential) materials in our building materials. The project aims to raise the audience's awareness of climate issues and provide a sustainable, low-carbon solution for the data centre space type.
