A Feminist Factory of Craft & Connection
The Feminist Factory of CRAFT & CONNECTION supports those struggling with their mental health and combats loneliness through art. The factory produces connections between people, nature, the mind and body through the act of making something with your hands and creates opportunities to make friends of all ages with shared interests.
The project aims to provide a welcoming and accessible space for people to meet existing friends, make new friends or enjoy time by themselves, as well as giving room to local artists to develop and share their work.
As someone who is neurodivergent, accessibility for everyone is very important to me. Not just physical access but also considering the sensory impact of spaces.
I am interested in community focused and residential projects that are sustainable. In particular, retrofit/heritage projects since reusing structures is better for the environment then building new and can have constraints that require creative solutions.
