A Feminist Factory of Empathy
Seeing women wearing suits and ties or other typical male clothing may be normal to you. But imagine that, what if men are wearing dresses or skirts? Will you be respectful or biased to them? Are you brave enough to try it (if you are male)? My project is a feminist factory that designs and sells unisex clothing for everyone who have intersts to experience that. You might also see british unisex clothing celebrities like Harry Styles at the catwalk space there. The core of the design is the roof structure- which mainly consist of triangular saw-tooth roof structure and glulam truss beams- and the zig-zag staircases within the three-storey height space. The building uses glulam as principal material, large area of glazing and polycarbonate sheets are also used to maximise solar gain as well as to increase the aesthetic. Overall, I want to create safe, inclusive and fun spaces for people to enjoy both the unisex clothing and the special spatial experience.
