The Feminist Factory of Dreaming
Queerness requires an ecosystem to flourish. This ecosystem has historically existed as a network of clandestine, hidden spaces around the world, offering escapes from a heteronormative existence. The Feminist Factory of Dreaming exists as a celebration of hiding in plain sight, filled with hidden ornamental niches, winding landscape paths and reading nooks out of sight. This hidden existence offers spaces for inhabitants to dream, hidden from the world, but unapologetically taking up space. As an Archive, the Feminist Factory serves as a repository of Queer Art, Literature and experience, reclaiming the opulent, classical typologies of grand museums and galleries to provide a Haven of Queer existence, standing defiant in the ruins of Le Corbusier's rigid city plan.
