Conference Core
"The Core" consists of three identical in shape, but different in orientation buildings, according to their programme. Each of them functions differently, the north building is a congress centre, which consists of a lecture theatre, meeting rooms and event halls. The south building is the nuclear power plant and aims to build a bridge between the generations in Cumbria, by allowing educational exchange between the elderly and the youth. The middle building, oriented to the east, welcomes the communtiy to enjoy its shared spaces: the cafeteria and the exhibition centre, which displays the findings and experimental work from the students, and hosts local artists' exhibitions.
