The HYLL Distillery
My passion lies in creating spaces that offer advantages to both society and the environment, showcasing my commitment to sustainability and attention to detail. In the HYLL distillery project, I applied these principles by integrating the architecture with the natural landscape. The design features artificial hill shapes, a green roof, and fire-proof glass walls for effective separation of user experience and production processes. The layout prioritizes optimal working conditions, utilizing carefully placed gaps for natural lighting. Sustainability is central, with responsible land use in the construction of slopes and various environmental strategies, such as triangular roof openings for natural ventilation. The design incorporates low U-value glazing, photovoltaic panels, and a flash recovery system to minimize energy consumption. The distillery project aims to unite vernacular industrial architecture with modern design, creating a unique and educational experience that integrates the past and present.
