A feminist factory of nonconformity
I wanted to challenge our given site to the extreme, while also creating a playful design that the community can engage with, that helps the workers within and that supports the next generation. My factory creates gender neutral clothing, sometimes based on ideas received from the public. It has a lot of access to nature, it's comfortable and people focused. The profits of the factory go towards shelters for domestic abuse victims, and the entire scheme is an attempt to break down barriers between genders- and the idea that there are only two genders.
