[AccesShift] A Walkable superblock based on daily amenities toward Zero-Carbon
AccesShift is an urban design project located in Manchester, UK. The primary aim is to explore city design aimed at minimising air pollution and Co2 emissions from private motorised vehicles in the context of the Climate Emergency.
The design approach focuses on designing a walkable, highly mixed-use network system to encourage residents to shift from private cars to walking and achieve lower carbon emissions and energy use. Generating and testing multiple scenarios for feasible non-motorised movement patterns allowing people to meet their daily amenity needs.
