Beyond Radiation: A Holistic Approach to Cancer Care and Wellness with Nuclear Energy
I have a strong passion for exploring the intersection between public engagement and the role of architectural design in creating resilient and adaptable spaces. My primary focus for my final project revolves around the integration of technology in the fields of nuclear sciences, cancer treatment, and patient well-being.
Over the course of this year, I have dedicated myself to pushing the boundaries and exploring the potential of small nuclear reactors following the InfraSpace brief. My aim has been to develop a patient-centric approach that encompasses both hospitality and mental health wellbeing whilst integrating harshly perceived nuclear technologies. By leveraging these advanced technologies, I believe we can create spaces that prioritize the needs and comfort of patients, while simultaneously addressing the challenges posed by cancer treatment.
Through my research and design process, I have sought to foster a deep understanding of the intricate relationship between architectural design, technological advancements, and the human experience. By embracing this interdisciplinary approach, I have gained a much richer understanding of the role of the architect in contributing to the development of innovative design solutions that enhance overall well-being and enable a more resilient environments.
