During my studies at the Manchester School of Architecture, my research was on urban village in Shenzhen, China. In my dissertation I delved into the context of urban villages and the findings and methods used by scholars to study them. During my time at studio works I created an environmentally friendly and sustainable urban system through the use of rooftop space, through which I changed the spatial problems that existed in the urban village and found a new way to regenerate them.
