When information piles up, we tend to know more but understand less. My experiences have accorded me with three invaluable lessons: Experiences enlarge vision; Thoughts provoke insights; Attitude determines craftsmanship.

My Studio use complexity science frameworks (systems, self-organization, emergence, intelligence, structural change, adaptation) to develop new theoretical approaches and computational tools for the design, management, governance and understanding of future urban climate change, civic engagement, development strategies, resilient interventions, policy formulation, and urban form.By enabling time and dynamic processes, computational approaches can be used to expand the field of static design methods and theories.
My research is transdisciplinary and currently spans Future Cities, Smart Cities, the Internet of Things, agile governance and cities as complex adaptive systems.
Other Research: Healing Environmental Design, Medical Architecture
