Chris is an Urban Designer and Registered Architect with over 16 years’ experience working for a variety of practices across the UK, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Graduated from the Architectural Association in London and currently an Associate Director of Placemaking at Mace Consult, he has extensive experience in leading large scale masterplans from early feasibility and planning stage through to implementation.
Throughout his career, Chris has led multiple residential and mixed use masterplans, strategic town centre and high street regeneration frameworks for both public and private sector clients. He has also taken on urban design advisory role with Telford & Wrekin and Gateshead Council to support their planning teams in reviewing incoming planning proposals.
Chris has a thorough understanding of working within the parameters of local planning policies to realise masterplan frameworks across different scales. Living and practicing in China has also allowed Chris to gain global perspective on urbanism and future growth of cities.
