Charlie White is an architect, Tutor, and Leverhulme Doctoral Scholar at the Manchester School of Architecture. He teaches on both the MArch and BA Skills programmes, and is based with the Non-Standard Habitats Atelier, which draws on speculative fiction to develop near-future scenarios for the built environment. His interdisciplinary research examines the cultural politics of sound across architecture, urbanism and sound studies, and addresses the tension between urban regeneration and noise.
Charlie qualified as an architect in 2023, having worked at BDP, Weston Williamson + Partners and SimpsonHaugh across sectors including infrastructure, education and residential. He holds an MPhil in Architecture and Urban Design from the University of Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
