City Hub - Lancaster
The design theme for my postgraduate level course is Hydrological City, and the design site is located between the River Lune and the city centre of Lancaster. Therefore, my design aims to create a vibrant urban mixed-use area that reconnects Lancaster's congested city centre, which lacks public spaces, with the city's river.
Besides this, I am also interested in the areas of Eco-city and Architectural Heritage Conservation. The theme of my dissertation is a discussion and analysis of the heritage conflict issues faced by different countries. In my future work, I would like to further engage in urban design to create more enjoyable urban spaces for city residents.
