Wildlife Walk
The project seeks to protect East Manchester’s green corridor by reconnecting human communities with nature. Responding to the site’s geological features, the pathway climbs through the site’s topography, offering moments of interaction with the surrounding natural elements to foster the relationship between humans and non-humans. A museum completes this journey through the site to learn about the ecosystem, with exhibition spaces that highlight the key roles of the flora and fauna of within their ecosystem. Finally, social hubs and working spaces respond to the needs of the local residents and encourage collaboration and engagement to create a long-lasting community intertwined with the site’s biodiversity.
