This year, the Manchester Student Society of Architecture (MSSA) focused on transitioning back into an in-person experience, whilst still retaining some of the benefits that the virtual environment had to offer. This could be seen in virtual meet-ups with students and alumni around the world.
Our subgroups continued to grow, with a new one being added to the mix ‘the EDI fora’. With WOAH organising homelessness awareness projects, BY30 hosting in-person guest lectures, BLM with a successful networking event, MSA&U continuing their yoga sessions, the Zine publishing yet another exciting issue, CAG pushing for a more sustainable architecture school, and the Debate union providing an opportunity for students to voice themselves, there is a place for everyone in our school.
We hope to continue our work, growing and engaging more with the talent at MSA, and improving the opportunities we have.
