“Manchester Under Construction 2050” is a protest FILM in response to: Manchester’s construction industry’s failure to innovate and its continued large scale concrete usage.
The industries around us, from healthcare to robotics, are seeing dramatic change and innovation. Meanwhile, the construction industry is continuing to build in crudely the same ways using the same raw construction techniques and materials.
The environmental implications of our industries dated construction systems and its continued (and highly polluting) concrete usage can no longer be ignored. Our industry is in urgent need of innovation!
