Michelle Ogundehin is internationally renowned as a thought-leader on interiors, wellbeing, trends and style. Dubbed 'the interiors guru' by The Sunday Times, she defines herself as a writer/author/brand consultant who also does TV.
She is a Contributing Editor to both FT How to Spend It magazine and the influential online platform Dezeen, as well as regularly contributing to many other prestigious publications including Vogue Living, Harrods magazine and Waitrose Weekend.
Her Amazon best-selling book, Happy Inside: How to Harness the Power of Home for Health and Happiness is a one-stop manual for living well — a game-changing guide that explores why your environment is as fundamental to your wellbeing as good food and exercise. As she puts it, "A home that truly supports you can be a secret superpower!"
Her current TV credits include reprising her role as Series Judge on the BBC flagship show Interior Design Masters with host Alan Carr, now filming its third season; and co-hosting Grand Designs: House of the Year alongside Kevin McCloud. Prior to this she has been a guest judge on The Great Interior Design Challenge, joined Monty Don on the Chelsea Flower Show, and presented Channel 4's Inside Out Homes.
Originally trained as an architect, and as an experienced communicator, Michelle has also served on numerous industry and educational juries, speaker panels and advisory boards. She enjoyed a multi award-winning 13-year tenure as Editor-in-Chief of British ELLE Decoration and was a Trustee of the V&A for 8 years. In April 2021 she was appointed a Trustee of The Design Museum.
Michelle was born in Manchester, grew up in London, and has lived in both New York and Los Angeles. Home is now the South coast of England, with her young son and two very laid-back Basset Hounds.
Michelle loves to work on a collaborative basis with clients who share her holistic approach to home, design and wellbeing. She is an expert strategist, crafting stories and messages to reach new audiences, and an experienced creative director and editor with an influential and highly engaged following.
