Chris Moir is a tutor on MLA1 and concurrently works in practice as a senior landscape architect at Exterior Architecture. He is a chartered member of the Landscape Institute and has worked in practice for over seven years, leading on a range of projects, from private gardens to strategic masterplans. He primarily works on residential and commercial schemes, but has experience across all sectors. Chris is regularly involved in all of the stages of a landscape project, from defining the strategy to handover.

Chris formerly worked at Optimised Environments (OPEN.) At OPEN, he was able to explore his interest in regeneration projects, which focus on investment in blue infrastructure. Prior to joining OPEN, Chris worked at TPM Landscape, where he developed a strong horticultural knowledge and understanding of the residential development process.

Chris worked and studied in Copenhagen, moving back to the UK in 2016, As part of his master’s degree at Copenhagen University, he worked as an intern at Lodewijk Baljon in Amsterdam. Chris’ work at the university and in practice is imbued with the broad range of knowledge acquired from living and working abroad. Chris is most excited by projects which revitalise areas, whilst simultaneously providing solutions to global challenges.
